Hi, my name is Wiki, yes, I've named my brand after myself. Did you know Wiki means (winner and) "week, as in days of the week", yup and my skincare range are products you can use daily, all week, so if you think about it you are winning and week long.
I've always been interested in healing and natural medicine but the catalyst and direction for my skincare came from motherhood. I was using an expensive natural oil moisturiser but once Our first son (of 2 boys) arrived it was a luxury I couldn't afford anymore, a luxury I still wanted...
We grew up on gypsy concoctions to fix all aliments, cuts, bumps and hypochondria. Haha. My Mum studying homeopathy and lots more natural techniques when I was a kid. And this gave me the knowledge and bases to seek out more.
So I did a little research.. And then some more. And then you got it, a lot more! The Face oil was created, it took nearly a year to refine and balance the different oil ingredients but with loads of support from Whanau and Friends it is now a daily face moisturiser I am very proud of - The Nourishing Face oil. 100% NATURAL & SENSITIVE.
I began making products for myself then the boys, baby balms, and I started to really take note of how we all have different skin tones and needs. The boys and I have very sensitive skin, this a huge factor in everything I make. Is it ok for me? YES. If a kid gets into it, will it harm them? NO..
My whole ethos is about providing luxury products with effective, active ingredients at affordable prices. All are hand crafted in small batches to maintain freshness. The majority of my ingredients come from Nz or the Pacific. I try to use as many local products/goods and support local businesses.
Each product has it's own natural aroma. Combining holistic and therapeutic methods, to effective the mind, body and mood in positive ways. 100% Natural ingredients, no nastys, no secrets. Loads of Organics.
Its very hard but I try to run a paper free office, and hence don't have shelf/table talkers or pamphlets. Emailed invoices and no extra packaging.. This helps to keep costs down, for everyone. As much as possible I encourage recycling and am happy to have the glass containers returned for reuse.
FB and Instagram have been great platforms of networking for me.
I now have stockist throughout Nz and Australia. Whoop Whoop!
